Special homams are performed for specific problems. The homam and
poojas are classified as japa and homam. In japa, mantras are
recited and flowers are offered by most proficient priests. In homam:
fire, oblations, and mantras are used. Homams are the pooja’s
performed for a particular deity by invoking Agni – the God of fire.
